Sales Funnels and Back-End Marketing
A sales funnel is a series of products and services ranging from free to rather expensive that you make available to your prospects, clients and customers.
Usually, you start with a free offer to entice someone to join your list and then you can market your products and services to them.
A robust funnel has items at various price points, the theory being that there will be people who need to buy something less expensive from you before they are willing to invest in your high-ticket items.
But to make your sales funnel truly effective, you need to implement back-end marketing strategies. This means that you are constantly cross promoting one product to the purchasers of another.
With an effective back-end marketing strategy, you will consistently be putting offers in front of your customers for products you are probably not promoting outright. In fact, your prospects may never know that you offer some products until they buy one.
For really advanced marketers, you’ll have several sales funnels … one of each of your major products and services. And you’ll spin these funnels into one giant money-sucking vortex by interlocking them through back-end marketing strategies.
