How to Upsell

10 November 2009 No Comment

upsellUpselling is one of the arts of selling the next and next successive products as soon as possible immediately after the customers have bought the first time. Upselling will definitely help you to go for a ride on her/his momentum of purchasing the products that you sell them.

One of the normal advices in upselling is that the upselling occurs on the product you have on the download page. In fact you will be able to make lots of distinctions between the various and different kinds of thank you pages that you might be having on your site. On your website, you can advertise more and more products that you might not have thought of before.

Here is the list of some of the pages:

  • Thank you page on the newsletter.
  • Thank you page on the paid product.
  • Sign-up page for the members.
  • 404 Error page for 404 error.
  • Thank you page on the safelist sign-up.
  • Confirmation page for the email.

…and many more.

See that, there are lots and lots of places where you can sell the items that you might have thought of. For the additional income by clicks, you can even include AdSense ads.

Keep on reviewing all of your Thank you pages and just think regarding 2 products at least that are related to the subject of the matter of each and every page so that you will be able to put them in.

Think of some of the creative ways that you can make some of the offers that are only selected to a few pages of Thank You. Particularly for the page of 404 error, do make your visitors sense that they ’stumbled’ into a once in a lifetime offer that they can’t defy so that you can have a sale.
